What Spravato® May Help With
Spravato® may be appropriate for individuals who are:
Living with treatment-resistant depression
Taking an oral antidepressant without adequate improvement
Experiencing symptoms that significantly impact daily functioning
Evaluated by a provider and determined to be a good candidate for the REMS program
Step 1
Comprehensive Evaluation
Your provider conducts a thorough assessment, reviews your medication history, and determines whether Spravato® meets FDA criteria for treatment-resistant depression.
Step 2
Personalized Treatment Planning
If Spravato® is appropriate, your provider outlines a structured dosing schedule and explains what to expect during the REMS-required monitoring period.
Step 3
In-Clinic Administration Only
Spravato® is administered as a nasal spray in our Idaho Falls clinic. Patients self-administer the medication under direct supervision, and the remainder of the session is monitored by clinical staff.
Step 4
Continuous Medical Monitoring
For the required two-hour monitoring period, our team checks vital signs, clinical response, and overall safety. You remain in a private, comfortable space for the full observation period.
Step 5
Recovery and Post-Session Review
Before leaving, a provider confirms medical stability and reviews next steps. You may not drive until the following day; transportation must be arranged ahead of time.
Step 6
Ongoing Evaluation and Adjustment
Treatment progress is reviewed at each visit. Your provider may adjust dose levels, frequency, or your overall treatment plan to ensure the safest and most effective outcome.
