Rachel Butikofer
Rachel's extensive educational background forms the foundation of her expertise. She holds a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), specializing as a PMHNP, and a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN), both from Walden University. Her academic journey also includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Idaho State University, alongside two Associate's degrees in both Nursing and Psychology from BYU-Idaho.
While she began her nursing career in labor and delivery, Rachel's strong passion for mental health guided her transition to specialized practice. She gained significant experience as a Registered Psych Nurse at the Behavioral Health Center of Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Rachel is thrilled to be returning to Ascend Mental Health as a provider, where she previously completed her rigorous PMHNP preceptorship.
